The S.M.S. S.p.A. S.B. is a company of General Contract founded in 2004, which realizes, in various areas of Italy and Europe, the projects of its customers by providing an integrated and comprehensive service.

S.M.S. S.p.A. S.B. is able to accurately interpret the customer's needs by designing the constructional details and developing plant and structural engineering for "turn key" delivery, taking care of the most complex requirements in terms of trim and detail.


S.M.S. S.p.A. S.B. offers efficient and extensive organization to operate in major markets around the world, using a consultants park, including the best experts selected in each field. S.M.S. S.p.A. S.B. deals with testing the feasibility of a project, managing the administrative procedures necessary for licensure and interfacing with the entities responsible in the various local governments.


Usually S.M.S. S.p.A. S.B. is mandated to carry out the work with the role of general contractor. In such cases, it acts directly with the subcontractors of which it takes care of the management and organization.


The General Contractor is responsible for the whole subsystem project and has overall operational responsibility for a construction or plant project. In Italy the term is especially used of public works, and was introduced by the so-called 'Objective Law' (443/01) who has interpreted the European procurement procedure. It is a single entity which is responsible for the "implementation of strategic infrastructure" and is qualified to the specific characteristics of organizational capacity and technical realization, taking over responsibility related to the time anticipation of the financing necessary to the realization of the project in whole or in part with private resources, for the freedom of forms in the project execution, for the prevailing nature of an obligation of the overall result of the relationship between this figure and the person contracting and for assuming the relative risk ".


All activities necessary to achieve the project objectives are planned and controlled continuously through the project management tools. The Project Manager is the link between all the technical structure and the Customer with whom he shares the compositional, strategic and economic goals, as well as having the responsibility for the entire process in terms of time, cost and quality.
